(hereinafter referred to as the "Company") and its group companies, including W vacation (our vacation rental management division), recognize that the protection of customers' personal information is fundamental to our business. We will strictly comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (hereinafter referred to as the "APPI") and other relevant laws and regulations, and have established the following Privacy Policy to ensure the appropriate handling of such information.

Article 1 (Definition of Personal Information)

In this Policy, "Personal Information" refers to "personal information" as defined in the APPI. This means information relating to a living individual that can identify a specific individual by name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact details, or other descriptions contained in such information. It also includes information that alone can identify a specific individual (Personal Identification Information), such as physical characteristics, fingerprints, voiceprints, and health insurance card numbers.

Article 2 (Acquisition and Purpose of Use of Personal Information)

The Company shall acquire personal information by lawful and appropriate means within the scope necessary to achieve our purposes of use. The acquired personal information will be used to the extent necessary to achieve the following purposes in connection with the provision of our services and the operation of our website:

  1. To provide proposals, respond to consultations, and execute contracts regarding real estate sales, brokerage, and investment support.
  2. To provide services, execute contracts, and respond to inquiries related to vacation rental management, short-term rental management, and the development of direct booking websites.
  3. To process accommodation reservations, manage accommodation history, and conduct post-stay surveys for service improvement.
  4. To respond to various inquiries, requests for materials, and job applications (including identity verification).
  5. To identify and refuse access to users who violate our Terms of Use or attempt to use the services for fraudulent or improper purposes.
  6. To investigate and analyze the usage status of our services, and use the results to improve, develop, and promote our services.
  7. To send informational emails and notifications regarding lectures, seminars, new services, and promotional campaigns hosted by the Company.
  8. To otherwise execute the Company's business operations appropriately and smoothly.

Article 3 (Change of Purpose of Use and Use Beyond the Original Purpose)

The Company will change the purpose of use of personal information only when it is reasonably deemed that the new purpose is relevant to the original purpose. In the event of such a change, the Company will notify the individual concerned or announce the updated purpose on our website. Except as required by law, the information will not be used for any other purposes without the prior consent of the individual.

Article 4 (Provision of Personal Data to Third Parties and Joint Use)

Except in cases required by law (such as the prevention of fraudulent use as stated in Article 2(5) or by court order), the Company will not provide personal data to any third party without the prior consent of the individual. However, to execute our business appropriately and smoothly, we may jointly use personal data with our group companies within the scope of the aforementioned purposes of use.

Article 5 (Handling of Website Usage Information and Personally Referable Information)

  1. On the Company's website, statistical information such as Cookies and access logs is used to improve user convenience, analyze usage trends, and for marketing purposes.
  2. The Company may provide Personally Referable Information (as defined in Article 2, Paragraph 7 of the APPI), such as Cookie data, to third parties, including ad delivery service providers. If it is anticipated that the third party will handle the Personally Referable Information as personal data, we will confirm whether the third party has obtained the appropriate consent from the customer before provision.

Article 6 (Security Management of Retained Personal Data)

To prevent the leakage, loss, or damage of retained personal data, the Company implements necessary and appropriate security management measures and manages personal information strictly. Furthermore, when outsourcing the handling of personal information, the Company will exercise necessary and appropriate supervision over the outsourced contractors.

Article 7 (Requests for Disclosure, Correction, Suspension of Use, etc.)

In accordance with the APPI, upon receiving a request for the disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, erasure, suspension of third-party provision, or notification of the purpose of use of retained personal data, the Company will respond appropriately after verifying the identity of the individual making the request. Please note that a prescribed administrative fee (equivalent to actual expenses) may be charged for disclosure requests.
